About:Hong Kong Octopus Card

Remaining value during refund for Hong Kong Octopus Card

Hi, i need some advises here. Im travelling to HK & Macau from 4 Nov - 11 Nov. Please suggest which option of card should i take. Is the card usable at Macau as well? Also if during the refund time, if there are still value inside the card, besides getting the HKD 50, will i be getting back balance of value?

1. You are suggested to buy the Ordinary Octopus Card. After purchasing this card, you can enjoy some discounts when taking public transportation.
2. No, this card only can be used in HK area.
3. Yes, don't worry. You can get the rest money on the card and the deposit of 50 HKD. Many MTR Customer Service Centres and Light Rail Customer Service Centres provide this service.
