Li river hiking

Hi,
I am in Guilin at the moment and I have been told that it is not possible to do the full 22km hike from Yangdi. Is that correct?

Yes. I've also heard of it. Travelers are not suggested to do it at this moment.

According to the news in Xinhua, official governement blocked this route at present. They will take measures to increase the tourist infrastructure and improve the local ecological environment. It is expected to open after two years.
