About:Yinchuan Hedong Airport

A day trip

Hi,

As per my limited time in Beijing City, I would like to do sightseeing Great Wall (Badling), Summer Palace and Birds Next Stadium in a day. Is it possible?? Would be appreciated if someone could give me the time frames of the journeys of alternative means of transport and rough fares. Or if not possible to visit all three at least one after Badling. I'll be staying in Jingtailong Int'l Hotel near Zhushikou Station.

I am afraid that the time is a bit tight to visit three places in a day if you take public transport. Here is the route: From your hotel, you can take bus no. 5(14 stops) or subway line 2(Jishuitan Station, exit A) to Deshengmen, then take bus no. 877 to Badaling(CNY12, one hour). After visit, you can take the same bus back to Deshengmen, then take subway line 2 to Xizhimen and change to line 4; get off at Beigongmen Station(exit A1) and walk to the Summer Palace. Taking train back is another option. Upon arrival at Beijing North Railway Station, you can take subway line 4 to the park directly. As for the Bird Nest, you may visit it in the evening, when all the lights open, if time permits.

Thanks a lot Maria. I was thinking train would be faster to Badling and back which could save some time. I take it Birsds Nest Stadium and Water Cubes are better looking at dark with lights on as per your suggestion.

Once again, thank you for your info, highly appreciated. Plz advise me anything more on this topic.

Yes. Taking train to Badaling is a very convenient way. From your hotel, you can take subway line 7 to Caishikou Station(2 stops) and change to line 4 to Xizhimen Station(7 stops, exit A2), then walk to the North Railway Station. The train ticket(CNY6) can be purchased at the station upon your arrival and the train journey takes more than one hour. When you arrive at Badaling Railway Station, you will need to walk 15 minutes to the entrance. After getting back to North Railway Station, you can take subway line 4(CNY5) to Summer Palace. Once again thank you for your help Maria. To save my time, I may take the bus to Badaling and train back and head to Summer Palace followed by Bird's Next in the evening.

And one other day to visit of Tienanmen Square, Forbidden City, modern Beizing city visit and night life area at night.

Hoping to be able to make short visit to Temple of Haven (walking from my hotel) on my final day in the city before heading to Capital Airport ETD 1300 hrs.
