About:Taiwan Travel

between January and February 2016, which month is the best time to visit Taipei ?

I will be bringing my mom ( 70 yrs old ) along with us, group of 4 for 8 to 9 days. Any suggestion which place to visit since this will be our first time there ? Thanks.

It is better to go in late Feb. when it can be much warmer which is good for your mom. In addition, less rainfall will take place then.

For your trip, I suggest you cover many parts instead of only Taipei: the Ali Mountain (accessible for your mother), Sun Moon Lake, Hualien and Cingjing Farm are recommended. The Shilin Night Market, Taipei 101, and National Palace Musuem in Taipei; Kending and National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium in Pingdong County, etc. are also good destinations.
