About:

Bus# and route from Lijiang train station to Wei Yang Inn, 72 Wensheng Xiang,Wuyi Street. Thanks.

In the railway station, you can take the bus No. 18 to Zhongyi Shichang. Actaully, getting off the bus, you have arrived in the old town, and your hotel is located insde the town. And then walk about 0.9 miles, you will reach the hotel.

Thank you for the prompt reply. Is Zhongyi Shichang (a shopping plaza?- translation please) stop along the bus 18 route or is it the bus terminal. Thank you again.

Zhongyi Shichang 忠义市场, a famous farmer's market. It is also the name of a bus stop of bus no. 18. Just get off there and walk into the ancient town to find your hostel. By taxi, it costs CNY15 or around from the rail station.

The operating hours of this bus route are from 07:00 to 21:00. And the ticket fare is CNY 1 per person.

We made it to our inn. This is what we did:
1. We took bus #18 and got off at Zhongyi Sichang along with the rest of the tourists that took the bus at the train station. I also asked the bus river to give us a shout when the bus arrives at the aforementioned stop which he did.
2. Since our inn is inside the old town we decided to get a taxi who took us to the nearest entrance of the old city and the fare was 9 RMB.
3. We walked through narrow streets and alleys (asked several locals as we went along) and finally a young couple working at a hostel helped us by walking us to our inn which was about 200 meters away.
People are friendly and helpful. A little bit of Mandarin knowledge would be helpful to navigate in this beautiful town.

The last bus no. 18 returns to the train station at 21:00.
