About:Chinese Consulates in India

visiting hong kong

HI , I am planning to visit hong kong next month. Do i need to apply tourist visa for Hong Kong visit?
To apply tourist entry permit, a proof of hotel reservation needs to be attached. I do not have reservations under my name. One of my cousin sister is visting hong kong for 3 days and reservations are under her name. I am also planning to travel on the same dates and will be staying with her. I need suggestion to go ahead with the tourist entry permit.

Kavya, you are an Indian citizen, right? If yes, you can enjoy the free entry policy of HK for a stay not more than 14 days. The immigration officer may still check your hotel reservations when you enter the border and you can show the booking orders of your cousin.

You don't need to apply for the free entry. The flight tickets, reservations and some money are enough for you. When you go through the immigration, the officer will stamp on your passport and then you can enter.
