About:Chaozhou Travel

Any teochew opera shows during Chinese New Year in Chaozhou or Shantou?

Hi all,
I am a teochew from Singapore and I would like to bring my mother to watch a teochew opera between Feb 11 and 15. It can be in the two cities or their vicinities.
Does anyone know of any teochew opera shows during the Chinese New Year period?

Hi, during the Spring Festival, the Teochew Operas are usually presented in the Xie Huiru Teochew Art Center (Huiru Theatre), but the exact date for 2016 Spring Festival has not been decided yet. Do pay close attention to the news of it to know the details.

I know it. It is at No. 6, Chaohu Road, Jinping District, Shantou (near Jinhu Road). In Chinese, the art center is 谢慧如潮剧艺术中心 by the way.

I am getting a little anxious as the main objective of this trip was for my mother to see some live teochew operas, and I have been unable to get hold of anything firm so far.
