About:Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

trip from guangzhou airport to town centre

Please some one explain details/price of these 3 methods to get to city center;
Train
Metro
Bus

By train/metro: take subway line 3 to Jiahewanggang and transfer to line 2 to Haizhu Plaza. Then you will be in the city center. The travel time is around 40min and it costs CNY7.

By bus: several shuttle bus lines lead to the downtown area, such as line 1 (central railway station), line 2A (garden hotel), and line 5 (haizhu plaza). It costs CNY18-20 and takes 50-60min.

Thank u Emily for ur kind answer, actually my hotel address is
#172 linhe zhong , tianhe.
can u be kind enough again and tell me the directions for it too?
and are there METRO (underground) and train (on the ground) available as 2 separate choices for me to get me to my hotel from airport?

Before commuting the metro I need to buy a ticket or card inside airport? whats the name and which type I must buy for my 1 week stay in the city?

1. From the airport, there is no train for you to take. You are suggested to take subway line 3, get off at East Railway Station, Exit F. Then walk southeast around 400 yards to find the hotel.
Or you can take airport shuttle bus line 6a to get to CITIC Plaza first. The ticket fare is CNY 21 per person. Then walk northeast around 800 yards. You can choose the way you like.
2. You can buy the metro tickets or transportation card inside the airport. According to your situation, you can buy Public Transportation Card (Yang Cheng Tong), which can enjoy discounts when taking subways and buses. In addition, you can get the refund when leaving the city. So don't worry.
