By rail, you can take airport shuttle bus line 1 to Hongqiao Railway Station first. Take a high speed train there to Hangzhou East Station. After getting there, take local subway line 1 to Longxiangqiao. Leave exit B3 and walk to the West Lake. It is fine to get a ticket on the spot, but if you still wish to book, I recommend Travel China Guide to you.

Actually, there are direct buses from PVG to Hangzhou and it will arrive at Civil Aviation Ticket Center, around 3.5km from the West Lake. You can take a taxi to reach in 5-8min. The bus fare can be bought on Long-distance Bus Station of PVG.
