hkia to zhongshan by ferry

Question

Can we reclaim bags after landed @ HKIA and make our way to Skypier to purchse ferry tickets, and then board the vessel ? Saw a note from HKIA website passengers transfer to PRD should not reclaim bags and unsure in what situation this applies. We are aware we should not pass the immigration line.Thanks,Tom (Canada)

Yes, you are right about that. Passenger cannot claim the bags in the airport if you are going to take the ferry from Skypier. You should also not pass the immigration. After arrival, just go straight to buy the ferry tickets and leave info about your bags, then take the free shuttle bus to the pier, and your bags will be transferred to the port directly.
