About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

24Hrs transit in Beijing

Hello there, me and my wife will be having 20 hrs transit in Beijing airport on our way to London from Tokyo. We are Indian national and can we go out of the airport for sightseeing without any visa? Please let me know. Thanks

Kif, first you needn't apply for any transit entry permit because you are eligible for 24 hours free transit. If you plan to leave the airport for sight-seeing, then you should apply for a stay permit. It's just a stamp on your passport. With this stamp, you can exit the airport to visit the city.

Yes, you can apply for the stay permit at the airport. According to some others, you can get it done at the immigration.
