About:Shanghai Travel

Planning to visit Shanghai early next year.

l heard the room rate can be very expensive during holiday season, please advise when is the best time for tight budget traveller to visit this city? also, l'm looking for a budget hotel that is close to shopping area.

Yes, that is correct. The low season of the city is from Nov. to late Feb. in the next year, when the accommodation rate can be much cheaper. I know two for your choice:
1. Mingtown Nanjing Road Youth Hostel, at no. 258, Tianjian Raod, only around 5min walking distance from Nanjing Road, which is the most famous pedestrian street in town.
2. AMY International Apartment, building no. 2, Kerry Everbright City, No. 218, West Tianmushan Road, Jing'an District, within walking distance to Hanzhong Road and Central Rail Station metro stations.
