Question

I am going to Shanghai on 9 March 2016 on P and O ship Aurora. The Aurora leaves Southampton on 2 January 2016. How and when do I apply for my Tourist L type entry permit.

Hi Whitely, I think it's best to apply for the L type in late December 2015. If you apply too early, the L type will expire before March 9, 2016 as it's often valid for only three months. You should apply through the CVASC office in UK and it's advised to make an online appointment before visiting the office to save your time. You'll need to show the following documents, including your passport, a photocopy of the passport, a completed application form, a passport style photo, roundtrip tickets and hotel reservations.
