About:Guangzhou Metro Maps

Hong Kong to Guilin by train via Guangzhou

I wish to travel from Hong Kong to Guilin. Do I have to travel to the East Station from H.K. and then travel to the South Station to Guilin?

Could you please advise how to get between the rail stations - we will a suitcase and carry-on luggage to transfer?

Well, you can transfer the train at Shenzhen or GZ.
1. Shenzhen: You can pass the custom and arrive at Futian Port. Then take subway Longhua Line to Shenzhen North Railway Station. After that, take direct bullet train to Guilin North.

2. GZ: U have to travel between the rail stations. From the East Railway Stationt to South Railway Station, you can take subway line 1, get off at Gongyuanqian Station. Then transfer to subway line 2 to South Railway Station directly. It takes around 50 mins on the way. The ticket fare is CNY 6 per person.
Or you can take a taxi directly. The cab fare is CNY 70 to 80 in the day time.

I just looked up trains from Shenzhen North to Guilin on your web site and it said there were no trains from there? Do I have to transfer to another station at Shenzhen North to get the bullet train to Guilin? Thank you Liz

There are bullet trains from Shenzhen North to Guilin North. The train schedules are 07:20, 11:48 and 14:53.
I've checked on the train tickets booking page of this website. The schedules are the same.
Maybe you can check it again.

Thanks Luisa, I had to put destination as Guilin NORTH not just Guilin. It worked immediately when I put Guilin North. This looks much easier than travelling than GZ as we are coming from Hong Kong.
