About:Beijing Great Wall

One and a half day visit Beijing

Dear sir/madam,

I am visiting this weekend. I know it is short, but one of my big wishes is to include a trip to the Great Wall. And the Forbidden city. Can you please advise what would be the best planning with below details:

Saturday 9.30 arrival at capital airport
Sunday: need to be at airport 4 pm
Hotel: Grand Hotel BJ

I think you should visit the Forbidden City on the first day you arrive and then go to Badaling on the second day. You can use airport express to reach Dongzhimen, change subway line 2 to Jianguomen Station and take subway line 1 to Wangfujing Station. Then walk to your hotel directly. You should be able to reach your hotel in 2 hours. After a short rest, you can walk to Tiananmen Square and then visit Forbidden City.

Next morning, you should get up very early, take bus no. 82 at Nan He Yan Station, get off at Drum Tower Station, change bus no. 5 to Deshengmen and then catch bus no.877 to the wall. The earliest 877 departs at 06:30. It takes around 1 hour and 20 minutes to reach the wall. I think you should reach the wall before 09:00 and then visit the wall in 2 hours. If you finish your visit at 11:00, I think you can get back to your hotel in 2 hours. Then you still have 3 hours to reach the airport.
