About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

do I require a VISA or 72 hour transit is available?

I am a malaysian transit from Guangzhou back to malaysia in less than 24 hrs but will leave airport for a short hotel rest before departure.

Daniel, you do not qualify for the 72hr free transit as your country is not eligible. However, the entry permit is still not required. Since you stop over for less than 24 hours, you can use the 24-hour direct transit policy.
