About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Issues about 72 hour free transit

We are an elderly Engish couple living in Malta visiting Hong Kong for 2 weeks, and would like to visit Guangzhou for a day. Do we qualify for this 72 hour visa? probably not if I understand correctly, if not what other options are open to us to enable us to visit Guangzhou for a day.

Ken, after the visit in Guangzhou, will you go back to Hong Kong or to Malta or another country? If the answer is the former one, you need to apply for the entry permit from HK. If the answer is the latter, the entry permit is unnecessary.
