About:Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport

late arrival of flight at Chongqing Airport - can we spend the night in airport and is it safe?

Yes, it is allowed to stay in the airport (waiting hall) overnight and it is safe enough. But it will be cold in late night. Do keep warm.
