transit through shanghai, have a quick tour

I will be travelling from Toronto to Kolkata (india) and have a 12 hrs connecting flight by China airlines in Shanghai . Can i have a quick city tour ? i am Indian passport holder and a Canadian Permanent Resident

Yes, you can tour the city. Remember to apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport immigration to leave and go to the city.
