About:China Customs Declaration

is the 5000 usd or 20000 cny limit individual limit or limit for entire family?

Hi, we are a family who will be travelling together. Is the 5000usd or 20000 usd limit the limit per family or per individual i.e. 3 family members can take upto 15000 usd max?

Each person can take 5000 USD or CNY 20000 in total. However, you'd better not let your kids bring so much cash.
