Can a girlfriend apply for S2 visa?

Hi! my boyfriend is a seafarer and he's in one of the hospitals in China right now. What kind of entry permit can i possibly apply for to be with him? Thank you for answering.

Hi Grace, you can possibly apply for the S2 type, but it's not assured that you can get it because you are not married with this guy. If you want to play safe, you can apply for an L type and enter as a tourist.
