Visa requirements of cruise going to Sanya China

hi we are leaving to spend four nights in Hong Kong and then will be boarding cruise ship in Hong Kong and will be docking in Sanya. The ship will dock at 8.00 am and depart 10.00p.m same day. Do I need to obtain an entry permit. Thanks
