About:Beijing Attractions

Hi We are from Sri Lanka and intend travelling to Beijing in early November '15 (5/11-12/11)

We wish to visit the great wall, tiananmen square, forbidden city and any other attractions.
Can you recommend a hotel closer this places, and do you think we need to book a tour?
or once we come can we book from hotel travel desk?

I have no idea of your budget for accommodation, so here is just my general suggestion. The Days Inn Forbidden City at no. 1, Nanwanzi, Nanyanhe Street, can be a good choice. It is close to Wangfujing Pedestrian Street and Tiananmen Square/Forbidden City and the services are fine. If booking in advance, you may get some discounts.

I can see that you wanna see as most as possible during the trip. I suggest you join a tour. Then your travel agency would arrange all attractions, accommodation, transportation and some dining. You will stay for so long. They may also be able to arrange trip to the nearby cities or areas. If interested, I highly recommend Travel China Guide to you. I have traveled with them twice.
