About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

I'm from Philippines, I don't need a visa going in and out of HK

but i will be travelling to HK with my Vietnamese girlfriend on in few weeks time and we bought our airline tickets last august. The problem is China embassy in Vietnam do not issue a tourist type as of the moment. We already purchased hotel reservations for our 4day stay/vacation in HK. We are travelling from the Philippines to HK. What should we do? Is it possible for my girlfrend to apply when we arrive in HK? please help. thanks! -Dominic

Your GF has to apply in advance before she arrives. If Chinese embassy doesn't accept her application, then she has to apply from the HK Immigration Department directly. However, it takes four to six weeks to process her application. I don't know whether you two can wait for four to six weeks.

If she can not get a VOA then apply when you are in Manila. Do so immediately. Bring all your travel documents to the embassy. They do offer express processing for a surcharge.
