Yes, it's possible that he can sponsor you on the trip. You can submit a sponsor letter from him and a photocopy of his ID card and financial standing proof.

If he sent you the invitation letter, then air ticket and hotel booking are not required.

Mr. KMOSSMAN,

What I replied is based on the information gotten from the website of Chinese embassy in Philippines. According to the embassy, invitation letter OR round-trip and air tickets are required. For the first-timer, personal financial statement, employment or study proof, recent six months banks statement, BIR-stamped income tax return form, proof from the applicant's employer or professional ID is needed.

Those first-timers who can not provide the above-mentioned documents are required to write an explanation letter.

Mr. Mike are you from philippines also? What if i will just provide them my PRC ID? but my certificate of employment will be just volunteer nurse. And if ever i will be employed already as contractual nurse but income still very low, i guess i cant still get an account and save so much money so i guess he can still sponsor me? I really know my situation is a little bit wavy but i guess trying is worth the risk. How many months can apply again after being denied? Thanks by the way

Sorry, I do not come from Philippines. You said you have a PRC ID? What's that?

Anyway, I think your boyfriend can sponsor you for the trip. It's worth a try. You can apply again three months after being denied.

Oh my mistake. PRC id is an ID for professionals like me as a nurse. So in short i have a license as a nurse.

Oh, I think you can submit this license as a proof of your profession and financial ability. However, whether it is useful is decided by the consular officer.

Good day. I just wanna ask again if where can i download somewhere in the internet the invitation and sponsorship letter? If not, should he write it himself or can print it out? And is there a specific person to address the letter or just address it to the embassy itself? Thanks

He can write the invitation letter himself and then print it out. Inside the invitation letter, he should show that he will pay for all your expenses in PRC.
He just needs to address the letter to you.

You did not give your age, so I will assume you are younger rather than older. You might face two hurdles, First with getting the Chinese visa, and second in clearing Filipino immigration.

Filipino immigration has become stricter in permitting its [female] citizens to go abroad, because of the human trafficking issues. Check first with them on the necessary forms and documentation.

The other hurdle is getting the visa. Your bf should check with Immigration as to what the Letter of Invitation should contain. The hotel booking must be in your name. Of course you must have a return air-flight ticket. I would also advise showing proof of your relationship; letters, emails, photos, etc. I'd recommend visiting the embassy first and seek their advice. Go EARLY in the morning because it does get busy.

Your situation sounds rather "iffy"; no money, no assets, no employment record, no travel companion.

Volunteer work is nice BUT it is NOT a job with an income. Nice but useless in this situation.

She MUST have a return air ticket! How can you say she does not one?! The problem with not having a hotel booking is that ***IF*** her bf and her break-up then she will be stranded without money. A letter of invitation is just that - it does not impose responsibility for her well-being nor status nor return. THAT is a concern of the embassy.

I think the ATM savings account is oaky. It can be regarded as the proof of your financial support. I don’t think passbook is needed. Don’t worry!

Marcela, I think you can just provide his bank certificate as your financial support proof. You don’t need to provide yours.
