About:Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka

I am a Sri Lankan and wish to visit China for the first time for the Canton fair on a tourist visa

Myself and 3 friends want to visit PRC for the Canton fair. Can we enter with a tourist L type? and what is the maximum stay for a tourist L type holder? Also how much is the one day urgent application fee?

Dilip, if you want to attend the Canton Fair, you had better apply for an M type. It may be ok to enter with the L type and then go to the fair, but you should know that it's not easy to get the L type if you do not use a travel agency. An invitation letter from PRC Tourist Bureau is required when applying for the L type. This letter is difficult to obtain by yourselves. The max stay duration for an L type is 90 days. Generally speaking, you may get a 30-day stay length.
