About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

New Delhi to Auckland via Guangzhou (for 15 hours)

Hi I am flying from New Delhi to Auckland in the 2nd week of December. I have a connecting airport in Guangzhou and I am there from 7 am in the morning to 10 in the evening (local China time) could I get to travel the city for some 12-14 hours if I can what is the procedure??

Hi Himanshu, you can go out and travel in the city during the layover period. You just need to apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport.

Thanx Linda this is Himanshu also one doubt as the site and net says that only visitors from 51 countries are allowed for 72 hour free transit, how is that gonna affect me

Yes, the 72-hour free transit policy is only applicable to 51 countries. However, as you stop over for merely 15 hours, you can enjoy the 24-hour direct transit policy, which is available to all nationalities.
