About:Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

travelling from LA to Delhi, getting a layover of 1 hour and 50 minutes at Guangzhou Airport.

Is that enough for tranfer? does this airport do security checking in between international flights?

Yes, your time is enough for the transit. Just hurry up. You are right abou that you need to go through the imigration and security check procedures.
