can we see the great wall in february? which part is best that time of year?

We will be in Beijing in Feb 2016.  The time cannot be changed.  We will actually be there on Chinese New Year.  I understand the weather is very bitter and cold on the wall that time of year.  But this is the only chance we will have to be in Beijing in our lives and we really want to see the wall.  Is this possible, and which section would be best.  What is closed for the New Year in Beijing?   Thank you.

Ann, it's your first time to visit the wall, right? Then I think you should to to Badaling section. It's not far from the city center and the transportation to the wall is convenient. You can take S2 train from Beijing North Railway Station or take bus no. 877 from Deshengmen. It takes around 1 hour and 10 minutes by train/bus. Don't worry. The walls are open during Chinese New Year Holiday.
