i want to take the bus from hk airport,then am considering the octopus card

we will also possibly be using the big bus.  We are senior citizens and will be in HK for 2 full and 2 half days:  arriving at 2 pm and then departing at 2:30 pm

If you are going to take the bus, I suggest you buy an octopus card, which can help you get a discount. It is a convenient and economical transportation mode. For your 2 full days, you are suggested to reload the card about 200 HKD.
