About:Mount Emei

Is everything still open when Low Season starts (on Dec 15)

I will be in Leshan on 15 December. Low season starts that day. Is everything at Mt Emei still open?

I would like to visit the mountain for the day but need to be back at my hotel around 1800. Are the cable cars still operating normally or should I allow extra time because it is low season? At what time do you suggest I arrive in order to see the main attractions and return in time?

Are all the temples open? I notice on the guide that opening hours are only given for High season.

I assume it will be quite cold on the mountain. Is that correct?

Thanks!

The low season starts from Dec. 15 to Jan. 15 of the next year. The rest of time belongs to peak season. The mountain scenic area will be open at that time, and the cable car is still available.
All the temples on that mountain will be open, too. At that time, it will be very cold, I suggest you wear sweaters and down jackets. If you are going to see the main attractions and return in time, I suggest you arrive at 09:00 – 10:00 around.
