About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Son going to China for study

my son going to shenyang city on study basis , university send jw202 , we are waiting for it . And I also want to go shenyang with him for one week. Did I need any paper from university or I get tourist visa from PRC consulate SF , we are American citizen.

You don't need any paper from the university. As you only stay for a week, you can book the round-trip tickets and hotels, so that you can apply for the tourist L type.
