About:Beijing Taxi

May I ask if all taxi is standard size in Beijing?

I'm teavelling in a family of 4 including an infant.
We'll need a bigger cars as we'll be bringing along 4 luggages. Does a standard cab have the capacity to fit in 4 ppl plus luggages?
Any idea if I can get a MPV?Thanks!

Yes, they are standard cabs, which can accommodate for passengers. Well, you have four luggages, one such regular car cannot accommodate all. A minivan or MPV should be an ideal choice.

Thanks for the info. I managed to hire a mpv upon arrival at the airport but it costed me RMB 260. Think it's pretty standard I guess.

We are hoping to do something similar--hire an MVP or Van from the airport to take us to our hotel. Was it easy to find the place at the airport to arrange a larger vehicle? Thank you!

Maybe it's not so easy to find a mini van waiting outside the airport. It's suggested to book it in advance.

Erika, you may proceed to B1 upon your arrival at the airport. They do have a counter where you can hire bigger car. But, it's pricey, as upon departure we managed to get a mpv from hotel which costed RMB200 instead of RMB260 as charged by the transportation counter at the airport. Tried to negotiate biti failed..it could be because we arrived at mid night.
