Attractions:
1. Forbidden City (CNY60), Tiananmen Square (Free): take subway line 1 and get off at Tiananmen East to walk there.
2. Summer Palace (CNY30): take suwbay line 4 and get off at Beigongmen. Walk out from exit C or D.
3. Temple of Heaven (CNY15): subway line 5 takes you to Tiantan Dongmen. Then it is easy to walk to the East Gate of the attraction.
4. Badaling Great Wall (CNY45): take a train from the North Rail Station, which is near Xizhimen metro station of subway line 2.
Aside from these, there are many other great scenic spots.

Transportation: subways and buses are quite convenient in the city. If you don't read and speak Chinese, use subway most.
Shopping & Dining: Many malls and food streets can well meet your need. No need to get worried. Wangfujing, and Dazhalan are great for dining and Silk Street is suggested for shopping. Many restos have no English menu, but you can order food according to the vivid pictures.
Language: Many English signs can be found in many public areas, and many locals speak simple English. Asking directions won't be a problem.

Hope help!
