can a visiting american apply for a prc entry permit while in madrid?

I'll be visiting Madrid on holiday for five days. I'd like to get a chinese Visa to go to china directly from Spain. Is it possible to get it in this situation since I'm not a resident of Spain? Do I need to submit additional paperwork with the application?

Hi Peter, it's possible that you can apply from Marid. The entry permit for Spain is required for submission. I advise you to first confirm whether you can apply with the embassy there and then book the tickets to avoid probable economic loss.
