About:Hankou Railway Station

What is the difference between Chengdu and Chendu East

Hello Can you please help me understand the difference between Chengdu and Chengdu East when taking a rail from Wuhan / Hankou Station if this is the most appropriate to get to Chengdu / Chengdu East - in terms of where in Chengdu each of these are located and the rail style and time that may be associated with either destination?

Chengdu station is located at the city center, Chengdu east station is far to the center. But most high speed trains from Wuhan/Hankou arrive at Chengdu east station.
