About:China Visa Application Requirements

I am currently in china, with M visa. can I get X type if i want to study?

do I have to leave china to my country to apply or I can go to Hong Kong to apply? or I can still apply for X type while i am still here?

Vin, what passport do you hold? I personally think you should get back to your country to apply. If you plan to apply in HK, you'd better find an agent to help you.

You can try to apply from mainland. If not successful. you need to go back to your country to apply.
