About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

traveling from LAX to Delhi via Shanghai round trip. Do I need to apply for a visa?

connection time in shanghai is 3hrs and 35 mnts If I am reading all of the above correctly I do not need anything with the exception of the ticket and the entry permit to enter Delhi. Is that correct? I do not plan to leave the airport. I have been to China before.

Jose, if you are American citizen, you are eligible for 72 hours free transit. If you are India, you are qualified for 24 hours free transit. So I don't think you need to apply any type.
