Yes, the Mt. Hengshan is located in Datong. The entrance is located near the 203 Highway, Hunyuan County. Fron Datong downtown area, you can take a bus to Hunyuan first, and then hire a car to the entrance. The hotels are very limited. Near the mountain foot, there is a village, where you can find accommodation provided by local people. If climbing up the mountain on foot, it may takes about 2 hours. There are also cable cars available, which would be a faster way. The route is about 3 miles. There are also private cars available. And the fare is about CNY10 – 20 per person.According to the weather records, the temp may reach about 45 F in the day time, and 20 F at night. It will be cold. Do wear warm!
