About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

Can A vistor from India to USA apply in USA for a Chinese Visa?

I am from Chennai India Currently In USA visiting my daughter. I will be back in India on 8th November 2015. I have to leave with my wife for a conference in China on 14th November 2015.Can I have enough time to get my PRC entry permit in Chennai or can I apply in USA ?

It's fine. You can either apply from USA or India. The application process takes about four working days, so you have enough time to do it in India.
