About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Sightseeing for 2 hours

Hi, I'm flying from London to Bangkok. Changing planes in Guangzhou. The waiting time is 4 hours. Am I still allowed to go into town, sightseeing for 2 hours before heading back to the airport to catch my flight to Bangkok?

Yes, you can go out to sightsee the city. You just need to apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport.
