I am a US citizen and I will be travelling from Los Angeles to Xiamen, stop in Manila (Philippine) to Xiamen, leaving 2 days later, stop in Manila (Philippine) to go on to Singapore. Am I eligible for 72 hours free-visa permit?

Sorry, you are not eligible because the route goes like this: Manila-Xiamen-Manila. It is not considered as transit.
