where to catch a bus to laoshan from hostel marina near polar world

Hello, If we only have one day to visit Laoshan and want to see the view of the ocean from on top and pools and waterfalls, which is the best entrance...south, east or central? And what bus to take please. How long would it take to hike to the top? Where to catch the cable car for those who do not wish to hike?  Thanks very much for your help!

If you want to see the pools and waterfalls, I suggest you take the south entrance. From the hotel, walk about 0.6 miles to Xujia Maidao Station to take the bus No. 104 to Ximaiyao Station. Then walk about 100 yards to the entrance.It takes about 4 hours to hike up the mountain. If you do not want to hike too much, I suggest you take the cable car. There are three rope ways available, Jufeng cable car, Taiqing cable car and Yangkou cable car.
