About:Hong Kong Octopus Card

Hi, 5 days in HK, I read that using a public transport, is wise to buy an octopus card.

At my arriving day I wanna use Airport Express to HK Island, and after my holiday also wanna use Airport Express back to the airport. During vacation I'd like to use some other metro line too, at least ones to north and perhaps bus as well and ferry between HK island and Kowloon.
What is the suggestion, how much HK$ should I upload the Octopus card for this plan?
Thanks!

Well, I understand. I suggest buy an Airport Express Travel pass, which includes one single Airport Express journey plus 3 consecutive days of unlimited travel on MTR. The price is HK$220. On 4th day, you can top up the pass, then it will function like a normal octopus card, which can be used in MTR, ferry and bus. For your stay, you need top another HKD100 for transportation. If you do not want to use it, you can get a refund for the deposit fee and the balance.
