About:Forbidden City

Distance between Beijing attractions and hotels

I beilive Summer Palace and forbidden City are not to far from each other. If I stay in Haidian District, to visit summer palace, taxing a taxi to visit Forbidden City, and Nánluógǔxiàng would approximately what distance from each other. Would it be better to stay in a hotel in Dongcheng District after Haidian District, or is there no need for that trouble? Thank you again for all your help. Diana

It is about 12 miles between Forbidden City and Summer Palace. Both Haidian and Dongcheng are very big and sorry I am unable to tell the distance to attraction sites if there is no specific address.

Actually, I recommend you to stay near subway station. The subway system is very developed in the city and it can take you to many attraction sites. And around the subway stations there are usually city buses. In the case, you can save money from taking taxis. Just some personal experience. Hope helpful~
