About:Songshan Mountain

I plan on visiting Luoyang and Songshan in the next month.

I was hoping someone could help me out with this itinerary.

I plan to arrive at Luoyang on Day 1 and see the Grottoes/museum and any other local attractions near my hotel. I will stay in Luoyang the night.

On day 2: Take a bus to the Shaolin Temple. Could anyone tell me how far the Shaolin Temple are from the peaks of the mountain? Is it possible to get up and down the mountain + seeing the temple before the last bus leaves to Dengfeng?
Finally, what is the cost for the mountain itself?

Thanks for any help.

Well, the highest peak is Junji Peak, which is about 10 miles from the Shaolin Temple.

If you want to cover all the peaks, the times may be not enough. I suggest you start from the south entrance to climb up the mountain, which may take about 1.5 hour. Also, there are cable cars there for you to save energy and time. After touring around, then take a bus from the main gate of the scenic area to Dengfeng.
The ticket fare only for the mountain is about CNY80.
