how to get from chengde to beijing?

My last trip from BJ to Chengde took me nearly 10 hours dud to the bad weather and the train was smoky, crowded and dirty.So on my trip back from Chengde to BJ, I am trying to avoid taking the train. Please can you help to suggest what other transportation mode, price and where can I obtain the tickets? Thank you

Yes, you can take a bus instead of train. As I know, there are direct buses available to Beijing in CD East Bus Station. The bus fare is about CNY85, and the travel time is about 3 hours. The bus schedule is dense, you can purchase the tickets upon arrival the bus station.
