About:Chinese Consulate in Auckland

My Boss will be going to the Rugby World Cup, in his return trip via China Southern Airlines

from London flight CZ304 on October 18, arriving Guangzhou at 17:10 hours for transit, the departing flight is also China Southern Airlines CZ305 on October 19 at 00:30 hours, that gives him over 7 hours transit time. Can he apply for a visa so that he can leave the airport for dinner & shopping in the city during that time? Thank you for your time in anticipation

Well, your boss can make use of the free transit policy and he can leave the airport during the transit time.

No, he just needs to get a temporary stay permit at the airport, which a stamp on his passport.
