About:Shanghai Public Transportation Card

Im currently registered as a new student in Fudan university

Can I purchase a special transportation card for my semester which will be roughly 6 months or do I just purchase a normal card and keep filling it when I need to.

I’m afraid there is no such special card for a semester. If you want to save the trouble of reloading, you can top up the normal card with amount that is enough for a whole semester. Or you can also top up it with small amount according to your need. Actually, it's not tha troublesome to reload that card, which can be done at most subway stations.
