About:Heavenly Lake (Tian Chi)

Hi, how much would a taxi from Urumqi South Station to Tian Chi cost?

Would taxis at the station happily take this journey?
Would it be possible to return from the lake the next day by bus or does it have to be a round trip? Is it likely that a taxi would return to pick me up at the lake and take me to the city, or are there taxis at the lake (if so, are they very expensive)?

Yes, there will be some taxies that can take you to the scenic area directly. The fare is CNY 400 to 450.

Well, as I know, there is no direct bus. You need to transfer several times. So taking bus is not suggested.
In addition, most taxi drivers won't go from downtown to the lake to pick you up unless you hire a private car. So you may need to hire a private car directly. It also costs CNY 400 to 500 for the return way. If it's too expensive, you can share the car with other tourists.
